Nissan has announced a special edition of the 2026 Frontier to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence.

The new model will be offered in the PRO-4X trim and features an exclusive emblem on the tailgate displaying the American flag. Only 2,500 units will receive the commemorative badge, at no additional cost to buyers.

The edition also marks another important milestone for the automaker: the production of the one-millionth Frontier at its Canton, Mississippi plant, where the pickup is built. According to Nissan, the model pays tribute both to the 250th anniversary of the United States and to the American workers responsible for building the vehicle.

Despite being a commemorative edition, the Frontier has not received any mechanical changes. The pickup continues to be powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 310 hp and 381 Nm of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Nissan said the special emblem will be available exclusively on the 2026 Frontier PRO-4X sold in the U.S. market. The initiative is part of the America 250 celebrations, the national program commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026.
